President’s message

PRONEXUS aims to grow sustainably while responding to significant changes in the business environment

After being founded in 1930 as a company dedicated to printing securities certificates, we have grown to become a leading company in support services for disclosure and investor relations (IR). Today, PRONEXUS operates businesses across the four product segments of the “listed companies disclosure-related business,” supporting shareholders’ meetings, financial results disclosures, IPOs, and financing of listed companies, the “listed companies IR and events-related, etc. business,” focusing on IR support for listed companies, web services, and seminars, the “financial instruments disclosure-related business,” supporting disclosures for investment trusts, J-REITs, etc., and the “database-related business,” selling databases of corporate information, economic statistics, etc.

The core of our current business comprises system services and consulting services that support the disclosures of listed companies and financial instruments. Accompanying work-style reforms, our client companies are calling for greater business process efficiency, and there has been increasing demand for our services that contribute to efficiency gains.
We have also improved the robustness of our IR support services, which meet growing needs arising from enhanced dialogue between corporations and investors as required by Japan’s Corporate Governance Code and from an increasing number of foreign investors. We have been enhancing our service platforms by providing web services, English translation services and support for virtual shareholders’ meetings, among others.

As a result of these efforts, revenue from our non-printing services made up 55% of consolidated net sales in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2021. The digitization of the disclosure and IR fields is certain to accelerate further, and we believe that expanding our non-printing services is an important strategy for driving further growth.

PRONEXUS will celebrate 100 years since its founding in 2030. In preparation for this, we have revamped our management philosophy. We have expanded our business domain from our previous exclusive dedication to supporting the practical side of disclosure and IR to include information communication and documentation services, and we have clearly articulated our vision to become Japan’s top niche corporate group providing specialized services unrivaled in the world by our 100th anniversary.

Under this vision, we will further strengthen our current business foundation and also venture into new business areas. We kindly ask for the continued support and encouragement of our shareholders and investors.
